Ordination to the Priesthood of Rev. Mr. Gilchrist

My dear faithful, 

 

We are pleased to announce the ordination of Rev. Mr. Aedan Gilchrist to the priesthood by Bishop Joseph Selway, on June 29th, 2024. 

 

This ceremony will take place at 10.00 am (local time) in the Christ the King Chapel, in Nantes, where Father Chappot de La Chanonie has been ordained in 2021.

Rev. Mr. Gilchrist is indeed about to achieve the completion of his training to the priesthood at Most Holy Trinity Seminary. 

He is coming to the Nantes RCI priory in Nantes for Holy Week, after which he will reside there to accomplish the last preparations for his priestly ordination. After his ordination, he will work along the other RCI priests in our UK Mission. It is our hope to grow our apostolate in the United Kingdom in the near future, thanks to this ordination.

The day after the ordination, that is, on Sunday June 30th, 2024, Bishop Selway will administer the sacrament of confirmation. If you do intend to come to Nantes and would like to be confirmed, please let us know.
